Lu was survived by their daughters, Joni Nelson and Dawn Vallely; 13 grandchildren and her husband, Congressman Don Young. Fort Yukon has remained the couple's home base in Alaska. Lu Young's survivors include her husband, their two daughters and 14 grandchildren.
