Palazzo Pfanner stands immersed in a baroque setting, just a few minutes away from the sixteenth-century town walls and the austere mediaeval palazzi of Lucca. The Moriconi family, silk merchants and members of the nobility of the town of Lucca, began to build the Palazzo in 1660.
Palazzo Pfanner is a definate must visit in Lucca. The gardens are absolutely beautiful in October, it is gree and in full bloom. The gardens and Palazzo is well maintained and a pleasure to visit. Although only a small section of the Palazzo is open to visit, it is definately worthwhile.
