Madame Web is 2024's first big superhero movie — and the first of three Sony Spider-Man Universe films coming out this year. Dakota Johnson stars as the clairvoyant Cassandra Webb, who teams with three Spider-People to face off against Tahar Rahim's Ezekiel Sims.

Madame Web will be available in theaters beginning February 14. To find when and where you can watch the movie near you, check the local showtime listings at the main theater sites below:

Madame Web will eventually be released on Netflix, followed by Disney+ and/or Hulu.

Sony movies come first to Netflix as part of a deal the companies struck in 2021. Following their time on Netflix, Sony movies move to Disney-owned streaming services, including Disney+ and/or Hulu. As for a potential streaming release date for Madame Web, we can look to Morbius, the only Sony Spider-Man Universe movie released since these streaming deals went into effect. Morbius came to Netflix in September 2022, five months after its theatrical debut, and will leave Netflix at the end of February 2024, 18 months later. Should Sony follow suit here, we'd expect to see Madame Web on Netflix around mid-July, followed by a Disney+ and/or Hulu release around January 2026.

Madame Web is a standalone movie in Sony's Spider-Man Universe. Here's the offcial synopsis from Sony:

Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing's most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future… and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies...if they can all survive a deadly present.

Madame Web was written by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless and Claire Parker & SJ Clarkson. It was directed by SJ Clarkson and stars the following actors:

    •Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb

    •Sydney Sweeney as Julia Cornwall

    •Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon

    •Celeste O’Connor as Mattie Franklin

    •Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims

Madame Web is Rated PG-13 for violence/action and language. The film runs for a total of 1 hour and 57 minutes including credits.

Madame Web does not have any post-credits scenes. Though it is still part of the larger Sony Spider-Man universe.
