The Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary (Latin: Congregatio Clericorum Marianorum ab Immaculata Conceptionis Beatissimae Virginis Mariae) is a Catholic male clerical religious congregation founded, 1670, in Poland.
The Venerable Servant of God, Father Casimir of St. Joseph Wyszyński (1700-1755) was the first Marian who approached the Theatine Fathers in Rome in 1733, asking for permission to bless and invest the faithful with the Blue Scapular. This permission was granted.
The Marians began to be clearly recognized as an Order which honored the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and prayed for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Two priorities stood out during Fr. Casimir's generalship: the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in salvation history and the charisms of the Marian founder, St. Stanislaus.
Effective July 29, 2022, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, succeeds Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek, MIC, as Provincial Superior of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy Province in the United States, which is headquartered at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy.
