   A very nice, clean asphalt trail along the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal...mostly flat with a few inclines. Horseback riding is allowed from mile marks 2.2 through 8.4. The first 2.2 miles of the route are through Fort Delaware State Park and along the Delaware City Branch Canal Trail.
