[1] [2] The series is an adaptation of Luc Besson's French film La Femme Nikita, the second such adaptation after the 1997 TV series La Femme Nikita.

When she was a deeply troubled teenager, Nikita was rescued from death row by a secret U.S. agency known only as Division, who trained her as a spy and assassin. Nikita was eventually betrayed by the only people she thought she could trust.
The first season of Nikita, an American television drama based on the French film La Femme Nikita (1990), the remake Point of No Return (1993), and a previous series La Femme Nikita (1997). It aired from September 9, 2010, until May 12, 2011, with a total of 22 episodes.
In an explosive season finale, Percy makes a move to take over the CIA, Alex goes rogue and Michael is trapped inside Division, unable to help Nikita when her life is in peril. Maggie Q stars in this sexy and suspenseful series as the charming and deadly Nikita.
