- Basic Outline of the Day. The basic outline of the day you’ll see below is to arrive early and start in Fantasyland/Toontown/Tomorrowland before heading to the west side of the park just before lunch for Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean.
- Parking, Security, and Early Entry. We know nothing about parking at Disneyland. We typically stay at a Disney hotel (Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, usually) or a nearby hotel that’s walkable to the parks.
- Note: Early Entry Now Only One Park Each Day. As of January 20, 2024 Early Entry has been reduced to one park each day. This has two major impacts. First, guests of the Disneyland hotels will probably want to be deliberate and start their mornings at the park that has Early Entry.
- Guests With Early Entry. In our opinion, guests with Early Entry should try to be at the gates about 15 minutes before the start of Early Entry, maybe 30 minutes on busy days.

- Purchase lightning lanes and Genie+ Genie+ can be purchased at midnight the day of your visit, but hopefully you’ll be sleeping so you have enough energy for the day!
- Animal Kingdom. At Animal Kingdom, my suggested rides and attractions for a short visit are: Avatar Flight of Passage. Kilimanjaro Safari. Expedition Everest.
- Park hop to Hollywood Studios. After hitting all the top rides at Animal Kingdom, hop on a park bus to Hollywood Studios. On the ride over, check the wait times at Hollywood Studios to get a good idea of which rides you may want to snag on Genie+ and which ones have shorter lines.
- Take the Skyliner to Epcot. Head to Epcot via the Skyliner. This will give you a little bit of R&R so you can recharge before hitting up your third park!
