Her Royal Highness Princess Victoria Alexandra Olga Mary of Wales was born on the 6th of July 1868 at Marlborough House, a short distance from Buckingham Palace in London. She returned to Brunswick two years after her husband’s death. She threw herself into charity work and worked for prisoners of war who returned from Russia.
