High School A QISS education is holistic in nature—and the intrinsic value of a QISS education is that it enriches the whole person. Along with the rigors of cognitive development, our top-quality US-based Core Curriculum nourishes our students’ academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
QISS offers three different high school diplomas depending on the number of credits earned throughout the student's high school career (grades 9 – 12). Credits earned at other institutions will count toward a QISS diploma providing the student has met the QISS criteria for successful completion.
Qingdao No.1 International School of Shandong Province (Chinese: 山东省青岛第一国际学校, QISS) is overseen by Qingdao Local Bureau of Education and provides education for Chinese children with foreign passports. Approximately 200 students attend classes from Pre-K to 12th grade.
The QISS curriculum is designed to follow the U.S. Common Core Standards and the standards set by the College Board. The school offers the AP International Diploma and is a PSAT and SAT designated testing site.
