Apr 23, 2012 · Scott Mebus: At the start, we had to essentially figure out our production strategy and then implement it. We developed shows for both the Hello Style and the Car and Driver channels and decided who we we’re going to work with to produce these shows.
Mostly because Hearst was not afraid to sensationalize, using eye-popping headlines and lurid stories of murder and sordid crime to boost circulation. And if he had to bend the truth a bit to sell papers?
He began his career with MTV, running the production arm of their Home Entertainment division, before moving on to be Head of Video at Hearst, overseeing video production and strategy for their 22 magazine brands, including custom content.
