May 9, 2024 · Your Scranton adventure begins with a true showstopper: The Office: The Story Of Us Mural. Orchestrated by the non-profit Scranton Tomorrow and brought to life by the talented artists at Hagopian Arts, this massive 17-character mural is a labor of love that took over a year to complete.
The Office: The Story of Us mural by Hagopian Arts is a project of Scranton Tomorrow with support from Universal Television and Peacock. The Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau is the premier sponsor. The mural at 503 Lackawanna Avenue, Scranton, Pennsylvania, was completed in August 2023.
- The Office: The Story of Us Mural. The newest and largest of the city’s tributes to “The Office”, this mural was dedicated on October 6, 2023. Created by Hagopian Arts, you’ll find it on the back of Community Bank, at 503 Lackawanna Ave.
- Coney Island Lunch. Located right next to the mural mentioned previously, Coney Island Lunch is a classic American diner. Located at 515 Lackawanna Avenue, it’s hard not to love “The Third Best Hot Dog in All America!”
- Steamtown Mall. Mentioned on numerous episodes throughout the show’s nine season run, the Steamtown Mall (now called The Marketplace at Steamtown) at 400 Lackawanna Avenue is a must-see for fans of “The Office”.
- The Electric City Aquarium and Reptile Den. Located inside the Marketplace at Steamtown, you’ll find the Electric City Aquarium and Reptile Den, PA’s second-largest aquarium.

Aug 27, 2022 · Though most of the show takes place in their office, it’s based in Scranton, Pennsylvania and they would sometimes reference a few of the landmarks around. The official Scranton website even made a self-guided tour map of landmarks mentioned in the show!
Scranton is situated in Lackawanna County — in northeastern Pennsylvania. I knew before I visited Scranton that the office building (said to be located at the fictional 1725 Slough Avenue) and the office park are actually located in Los Angeles, where most of the taping is done.
The magical paper supply company lives on in Scranton, PA. As Pennsylvania’s sixth most populous city, Scranton is truly a vibrant and “electric” city. Literally. It’s no wonder The Office location scouts decided to set the iconic docu-comedy here.
