Decent regional physiological chiller about a pretty and sweet though mentally unstable heiress (the titular Gloria) dealing with the stress of her new marriage to a struggling writer. The pair honeymoon in an old mansion where a notorious and unsolved ax slaying occurred the year before — the latter unbeknownst to Gloria.

Still, Gloria meets and marries writer Chris Kenner, played by Robert Ginnaven, who appeared in all four of Thomason’s regional films. They move into their new home: the location where a young woman was murdered (seen earlier in the film, in a scene that is quite bloody for a PG rating) and whose death remains unsolved.
