In 1992, South Miami became a 'Middle School' and in 2002 the school received a new 'building' to assist with the student enrollment. Today, South Miami Middle School is proud to serve a diverse community offering eight specialized visual and performing arts magnet programs.
After-school care is available through South Miami Middle Community School’s L.I.F.E. program, “Learning Is Fun Everyday” from 3:05 pm to 6:00 pm. Students are assisted and supervised in a program designed to provide time to study and complete homework.
