Thomas Smith Tait (18 June 1882 – 18 July 1954) was a Scottish modernist architect. He designed a number of buildings around the world in Art Deco and Streamline Moderne styles, notably St. Andrew's House (the headquarters of the Scottish Government) on Calton Hill, Edinburgh, and the pylons for Sydney Harbour Bridge .

St Andrew House (now styled as the Premier Inn Glasgow Buchanan Galleries) is a mid-rise skyscraper in the centre of Glasgow, Scotland. It has been a prominent landmark on the eastern end of the city's Sauchiehall Street since the mid-1960s when it was completed, and was one of the first post-war high rise buildings in the city centre.
