Joan of France (French: Jeanne de France, Jeanne de Valois; 23 April 1464 – 4 February 1505) was briefly Queen of France as wife of King Louis XII, in between the death of her brother, King Charles VIII, and the annulment of her marriage.
Apr 23, 2014 · Joan was made Duchess of Berry, and she retired to Bourges. Joan turned to the spiritual life. She made plans for the Order of the Virgin Mary, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of Mary. She was committed to the order on 21 November 1504. She died there on 4 February 1505 and was buried in the chapel.
