•All Characters: Which Character is Best for You

Street Fighter 6 features a large character roster to pick from, with characters boasting several unique elements that make their playstyle wholly their own. But from an objective standpoint, which Characters are the standouts?

To learn more about each SF6 character, click the links below to find comprehensive character guides that include a full introduction, move lists, and helpful tips and strategies.

If you're still deciding which character is best for you, continue scrolling below to learn more about each character.

Another iconic World Warrior from Street Fighter II, Blanka is back with his rolling attacks and his electric charge. In fact, he seems to be more deadly than ever, with a few new gimmicks and the chance to mix his rolls more freely.

Blanka is a charge character, meaning that you’ll need to charge some of his special moves before being able to do them. He might not have a projectile, but his different rolling attacks go through the screen in multiple directions, letting you reach your opponent and close the space pretty powerfully.

Originally introduced in Super Street Fighter II, Cammy has missed only a few of the bigger entries in the franchise. Her Cannon Spike and Spiral Arrow are back, and they are as deadly as ever.

If you’re looking for aggressive and strong characters that do a lot of damage with only a few moves, Cammy is waiting for you. She also has remarkable speed and you can mix her moves in interesting ways.

If you’re looking for an easy-to-learn character, ideal for beginners and people starting to learn about Street Fighter, you should check another page. This Interpol agent features stances, a wild variety of kicks, and very tight windows to chain her attacks.

And that’s not all. Chun-Li is also a charge character, which usually is more difficult for newer players than a regular fighter. Her projectile Kikoken and her Spinning Bird Kick are very essential moves that you shouldn’t leave behind.

Dee Jay is the heart of the party, and it’s difficult to not see him with a big smile and dancing with his soul. The Jamaican kickboxer and musician makes his expected comeback with well-known moves like Machine Gun Uppercut and some new ones.

Apart from being a charge character, Dee Jay exceeds in movement resources, with Jus Cool being a terrific tool to apply pressure, create combos, or just bait your opponent.

Dhalsim, the Indian Yoga Master, has been in the Street Fighter universe from almost the very beginning, and his weird but charming way of fighting has won players all over the world.

This is a character that exceeds in controlling the space between you and your opponent, with extremely long-reaching attacks and fire projectiles that have different directions or properties depending on which one you choose.

If this is your first time playing a Street Fighter game, we don’t really recommend Dhalsim. He’s super strong, but he’s also a very hard character to master. However, if you’re willing to give it a go, you’ll find a fantastic fighter with many resources.

The classic Sumo wrestler is back and ready to start punishing fighters with his attack of a hundred slaps and his ferocious (and hilarious) flying headbutts.

    E. Honda has some key special moves that require charge, so be sure that you want to learn this system before trying him out. He also has a chunk of special moves with quarter circles and a command grab, so you’ll have many options and tools to use. However, his Sumo Headbutt is pretty essential.

Guile has been in Street Fighter since the second entry, decades ago, and he has become popular thanks to his iconic charge attacks and his mindblowing theme.

If you want to give a charge character a try, Guile is a good starting point because he has good pressure options and he has you covered with a fast and strong projectile and a very useful anti-air.

    • Ryu. Ryu’s quest to fight the strongest opponents across the globe is far from over in Street Fighter 6. According to the Street Fighter Twitter account, Ryu doesn’t believe his journey is over yet as he learns to become a stronger fighter.
    • Chun Li. With Shadaloo’s reign of terror officially over, Chun Li decided to quit her job as an ICPO agent. Instead, Chun Li runs kung fu classes as her day job, making her a valued member of her local community.
    • Luke. Luke’s brief introduction in Street Fighter 5 explains why he wanted to join the military. His father sacrificed himself protecting civilians during a terrorist attack, prompting Luke to join the Special Forces to become just like him.
    • Jamie. Jamie uses the Drunken Fist fighting style, a first for the Street Fighter series. When Jamie takes sips from his jug, he gains new special moves and receives additional options for some of his attacks.
