The Studios Hergé were, between 1950 and 1986, a SARL company consisting of Belgian cartoonist Hergé and his collaborators, who assisted him with the creation of The Adventures of Tintin and derived products.
Created in 1986 by Fanny Rodwell, Hergé’s sole legatee, Studios Hergé is a not-for-profit organisation based in Brussels, the birthplace of the creator of Tintin. The aim of the organisation is to protect the work of Hergé, and to promote the wider understanding of this work.
A meeting with a young Chinese student, Chang Chong-Chen, marks a decisive turning point. Hergé becomes convinced of the importance of a soundly built storyline and of the necessity for thorough research and preparation. He begins to take seriously what was, until then, just a simple game.
Feb 27, 2004 · The depth of character is one main difference. And who could compare to Hergé as a humourist? But the artwork is comparable, and some of the storylines are quite amusing too. I don't think I've seen any of Jaques Martin's or Yves Chaland's books, although Alix rings a bell.
