"The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer" is a dated, but delightful screwball comedy that makes you laugh a lot. Cary Grant is hilarious in the role of a playboy and wolf that is involved by an annoying teenager and sentenced based on his reputation.

Feb 21, 2019 · The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer is the ideal romantic-comedy for those of you who enjoy classic cinema. It’s not the most popular or most madcap, I’ll grant you, but it is underrated. Overall, it’s full of fun scenes, and a cast that’s no stranger to the magic that is movie-making.
THE BACHELOR AND THE BOBBY-SOXER, is an interesting movie, which won an Oscar for Best Screenplay for Sidney Sheldon. Grant plays Richard Nugent, a gentleman painter, who gets caught up in a public disturbance in a nightclub, and appears before Judge Margaret Turner, played by Myrna Loy.
In a contemporary review for The New York Times, critic Bosley Crowther called the film "most agreeable" and praised the four principal performers, the direction and screenplay. The movie also premiered at the Radio City Music Hall.
