Vandanam (transl. Greeting) is a 1989 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Priyadarshan, written by V. R. Gopalakrishnan, and produced by P. K. R. Pillai. The film stars Mohanlal and Girija Shettar, while Mukesh and Nedumudi Venu appear in supporting roles. The songs were composed by Ouseppachan, while the background score was by Johnson.
Girija Shettar (born 20 July 1969) is a British actress, known for her works in South Indian films. In 1989, Shettar starred in Maniratnam's Telugu film Geethanjali and Malayalam film Vandanam, directed by Priyadarshan, in which she starred alongside Mohanlal.

1989. The year that belongs to Girija Shettar, one of the most gorgeous girls to ever grace the screen 😍. Vandanam is peak Priyadarshan aka it's reminiscent of everything that's 80s and 90s South Indian Cinema. At the core a pulpy revenge thriller, it has romance running throughout, plenty of slapstick humour as well.
