May 15, 2018 · Steps. Download Article. 1. Open Google Maps. It's the app showing a map with a "G" in it. 2. Tap ☰. It's in the upper-left corner of the screen. 3. Tap Satellite. It's located toward the bottom of the page. A satellite view of your physical location should automatically pop up. To exit out of Satellite view, go to Menu, then tap Satellite again.
