Harry Potter's story is set in a magical, largely fictional Britain, but the film series used many real locations as evocative backdrops. Other settings, like Diagon Alley, exist only at Leavesden Film Studios (20 miles north of London).
- The Jacobite Steam Train (Hogwarts Express) As any Harry Potter fan will know, if you want to get to Hogwarts you have to take the Hogwarts Express train.
- Glenfinnan Viaduct. One of the most iconic scenes in the Harry Potter movies is when the Hogwarts Express crosses a rail bridge on the way to Hogwarts.
