Founded all the way back in 1811, the Dulwich Picture Gallery was the first purpose-built public art gallery in the whole world.

May 26, 2018 · Therefore, there are many different ways to get to Dulwich village! I recommend checking the Transport for London Tube Map to plot the best route! On my visit, I got the tube to Herne Hill and then walked through the picturesque Brockwell Park to Dulwich Village.

It also boasts of an idyllic park, a golf course, and a high street with picturesque shops and pubs. Walking around Dulwich is like stepping into a rural village in the middle of London.
