American Painter, 1844–1926. Mary Cassatt—along with her peers, Edgar Degas and Berthe Morisot—created some of the best-loved paintings from the Impressionist movement. Although born in Pennsylvania, Cassatt is often considered to be a French artist, having spent most of her adult life in Paris.

Jan 16, 2023 · Some of the women artists of history may never earn the recognition due, given the limitations that the woman artist was forced to endure over past generations. Given those challenges, one can only applaud these ambitious women who followed their passion for art and resultantly produced some of the most beloved works of all time.
