When he died in 556 B.C, after only four years of reign, he was succeeded by his son who was assassinated shortly after he came to the throne.

Ezekiel’s prophecies do not extend beyond 571 B.C. when Nebuchadnezzar was still ruling. Labashi-Marduk (556 B.C.) Neriglissar died in 556 B.C. of unknown causes. His son Labashi-Marduk attempted to assume the throne but was opposed.
