Sci-fi. Steven Universe. Spinel is the main antagonist of Steven Universe: The Movie and a supporting character in Steven Universe Future. She was created at least 6,000 years prior to the events of the movie to comfort the lonely Pink Diamond, who had lost her first Pearl to White Diamond.
The 82-minute film takes place two years after the events of the series finale; its plot centers on a deranged Gem, Spinel, erasing the Crystal Gems' memories to take revenge for her abandonment by Steven's mother.

The Gem Rejuvenator is a non-summoned Gem Weapon used by Spinel in Steven Universe: The Movie possessing the ability to strip Gems of their memories causing them to revert to their original selves. This effect is not permanent, however, and can be reversed by reminding the affected Gems who they truly are.
Their powers flow from their gemstones; magical gems embedded somewhere on the host's body. The four Crystal Gems are Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Steven. Multiple gems, such as Peridot, Lapis Lazuli, Bismuth and a human, Connie Maheswaran has also joined the team.
