Some highschools in my country have philosophy classes, but it depends on the highschool and what the students' major is. I didn't have it cause it wasn't needed for my major (economics, law, trade).

  5. I would argue that teaching young men and women basic philosophy is more important than teaching them most of the English/Literature classes you find in High School, more important than Calculus, and probably more important than stuff like AP European History, World Cultures, etc.
