Sometime in 1989 or 1990, on the street in Greenwich Village, New York City, Stroud tried to help a man who was being mugged. During the confrontation, Stroud was stabbed several times, suffering partial paralysis in the face, and losing the use of one eye. The mugging victim fled.
Mar 3, 2005 · Member since June 2003. In the early 90's Don got into a fight with a street gang and suffered several knife wounds, his eye included. Some of his facial nerves were also severed resulting in partial paralysis. He rehabbed and continued acting for a few more years before semi-retiring in the late 90's after back surgery.
In the early 1990s Stroud attempted to come to the aid of a man being mugged on the street in Greenwich Village, New York City. He wound up getting stabbed ten times, including his right eye; he can no longer see out of it.
