Alejandro Brugués (Buenos Aires, 1976) studied at the San Antonio de los Baños International Film and TV School in Cuba. He was the screenwriter for several Cuban films and part of the Producciones La 5ta Avenida independent production company with which he directed Personal Belongings (2007), his debut feature.
