Who We Are. 2020. Nearly 60 member schools and initiatives operating in over 14 states make up the Alliance Public Waldorf℠ Education. Waldorf education in North America is part of a worldwide movement in 74 countries. There are now 1,184 Waldorf Schools with an additional 1,958 Waldorf Kindergartens throughout the world.
The Alliance for Public Waldorf Education is committed to respecting and welcoming all people. We most emphatically reject discrimination and actively work towards mutual understanding and positive engagement; embracing the principles of common humanity expressed by the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education.

The Pedagogical Committee of the Alliance has identified the eight major areas below that are considered essential components of any teacher preparation program for teachers in an Alliance member school. Effective preparation is aligned with the Core Principles of Public Waldorf education, with Fieldwork as the ninth component.
