Death. June 06, 1975. Viborg, SD. Alvin Hansen was influential in establishing the Full Employment Act of 1946, which set up the Council of Economic Advisors. As a professor, many of his students later served on this Council and became, themselves, Presidential Economic Advisors, as Hansen had done repeatedly throughout his career.
