Bonnie is the roommate of Dorothy when she is having surgery for her foot. It's their chat that helps Dorothy relax with her fear of hospitals.
When Dorothy returns to the hospital, Bonnie is exercising, Dorothy remarks that it's not working but Bonnie tells her that she's well, she in for the same Operation she was in for before, she reveals that she had a mastectomy.
Dorothy is amazed she's so calm but Bonnie admits she's scared, when she did it before she kept crying thought out the ordeal, but she understands that it was the right decision and she might have died. When she looks back at Dorothy she is crying and realises that her fears are dumb compared to Bonnie's.
