Kebangkitan Nasional Indonesia adalah periode pada paruh pertama abad ke-20 di Nusantara (kini Indonesia), ketika rakyat Indonesia mulai menumbuhkan rasa kesadaran nasional sebagai "orang Indonesia". Masa ini ditandai dengan dua peristiwa penting yaitu berdirinya Budi Utomo (20 Mei 1908) dan ikrar Sumpah Pemuda (28 Oktober 1928).

Budi Utomo didirikan. Klungkung memberontak melawan Belanda; para bangsawan melakukan puputan untuk mempertahankan kehormatan mereka.
1908: Budi Utomo is proclaimed as the first official nationalist movement.
