   Are the faces a good band?

   • As you'd expect, the sound quality from these BBC recordings are generally excellent, even the unreleased ones. While the Faces still existed as a band, Rod Stewart never played live in concert without them. But there's kind of an exception here with tracks two and three, "Gasoline Alley" and "Lady Day."

   • A live show from the Paris theatre is always a BBC recording. I have older friends who regularly turned up outside for free admission to see whoever was playing for Sunday's broadcast. As a result, they saw David Bowie, Mott the Hoople, and Led Zeppelein. Some of the The Beatles Anthology tracks were recorded there.
