Dec 24, 2023 · When Katniss wakes up, they tell her that Peeta’s mind has been ‘hijacked.’ The venom from tracker-jackers (which caused Katniss to hallucinate in her first Hunger Games) is used on Peeta to scramble his mind, making him think of Katniss as a threat.
so we know that he got hijacked, but what exactly happened to peeta during the time he was in the capitol? we see him being scared during the later interviews, specifically when he warns them, and getting more pale/skinny. did they starve him?
