Bruce is definitely the alter ego. Incidentally, The Walt Disney Company owns the "Batman" television series from the 1960's that starred Adam West. I think having Deadpool comment on that show in a "Beavis & Butthead"/"Mystery Science Theatre" style would be a smart way for Disney+ to present the series.
