Buck Taylor (born Walter Clarence Taylor III, May 13, 1938) is an American actor and artist, best known for his role as gunsmith-turned-deputy Newly O'Brian in the CBS television series Gunsmoke.
Western character actor who is best remembered for his eight seasons (1967-1975) as gunsmith Newly O'Brien on the classic series Gunsmoke (1955). As of the passing of Burt Reynolds in 2018, Taylor and Roger Ewing are the only surviving regulars of Gunsmoke (1955). 15 more.
