If you are starting at LJMU in September 2024, you will be able to request accommodation using the request form available within the Applicant Hub from 10am on Monday 8 April 2024. This includes all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as exchange students who will attend LJMU for the full academic year 2024/25.
Please note that you cannot submit a request for accommodation unless you have received and have Firmly accepted an offer from LJMU. If you have applied to university via UCAS, you must have accepted an offer from LJMU as your firm (first) choice.
If you have requested accommodation on your application form, our Central Student Support Team will contact you directly regarding the options available. We recommend for the best student experience and to focus on your studies that you live close to the Centre but you must live no further than a 60-minute commutable distance from the Centre.
If LJMU is your Firm (first) choice, you can submit your accommodation request via the Applicant Hub. You can submit your request regardless of whether you hold a conditional or unconditional offer. You will instantly receive an email to confirm that your request has been received and to explain the next steps in the process.

Accommodation. FIRST-YEAR GUARANTEE ACCOMMODATION DURING HOLIDAYS. All new students, including those who accept an offer through Clearing, are guaranteed a room in LJMU-approved accommodation. Individual study bedrooms are grouped in flats, shared with other new undergraduate or postgraduate students respectively.
