Carl Gangolf Kayser (or Carl Gangolph Kaiser; born 12 February 1837, in Vienna; died 2 September 1895) was an Austrian architect at the service of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico, during the Second Mexican Empire. In the later part of his life he returned to Austria and worked on restoring medieval castles.

  7. Carl Gangolf Kayser wurde 1837 in Wien geboren. Seine Ausbildung zum Architekten erhielt er in Wien und München, unter anderem war er Schüler Friedrich von Schmidts und widmete sich als solcher mit besonderem Interesse der mittelalterlichen Architektur. Als Hofarchitekt Kaiser Maximilians hielt er sich in den Jahren 1864 bis 1867 in Mexiko auf.
