Carroll Kemp is best known as one of the co-founders of Red Car Wines and long-time winemaker for that label. In early 2018, he left Red Car to expand his role as founding winemaker at Alma Fria (“Cold Soul”) to become a partner with the founding Holtermann family and continue as winemaker.
Early on, we became friends with Carroll Kemp and began sharing life notes, tasting together and searching for vineyards. These all became key building blocks in the birth of Alma Fria and a friendship that has carried on since.” ~ Jan
Our tastings are led by our winemaker, Carroll Kemp. They are approximately 60-75 minutes in length and include a comprehensive line up of 4-5 wines as well as a small cheese plate prepared by our friends Freestone Artisan Cheese.
