The Douglas Family Preserve, formerly “The Wilcox Property,” is a spectacular 70+ acres of open space on beachside bluffs with breathtaking ocean views. It is one of Santa Barbara’s most treasured outdoor spaces. Mostly undeveloped, The Douglas Family Preserve has over three miles of trails with beautiful foliage and wildlife.
This length of the hike along the cliffs offers amazing coastal views. You'll eventually reach a junction - going right on the short Douglas Spur Trail will take you to Medcliff Road. Taking a left will bring you north and then east to complete a loop of Douglas Family Preserve.
