Mar 23, 2009 · When finished, master engraver Eric Gold, who also carved the superb ivory grips, marvelously engraved the gun. This gun is a superb example of the engraver's art. This cased flintlock pistol is the work of Jerry Huddleston.
This "one off" 99 Savage also includes the engraving of another master, Eric Gold. Jerry helped jump start the careers of many top engravers and so it is with Eric Gold. While Eric is alive and well, Eric has announced this is also his last engraving project.
ENGRAVING: Eric Gold created two outstanding game scenes – a lion pair in gold relief (floor plate) and a Cape buffalo (butt plate) – each accented by a French gray background, bordered by intricate gold wire and further bracketed with fine scroll.
