Erich Pommer (20 July 1889 – 8 May 1966) was a German-born film producer and executive. Pommer was perhaps the most powerful person in the German and European film industries in the 1920s and early 1930s.
Producer Erich Pommer, who closely supervised all of his productions, was also on the set. Part of a burning carbon rod from an arc light fell among the actors. One dancer's costume burst into flame. Pommer was the first to react, attempting to tear off the burning fabric and beat out the flames.
