     Python 3.4 and below

     Just put bash.exe in first place in your list of subprocess.call arguments. You can remove shell=True, that's not necessary in this case.

     subprocess.call(['C:\\cygwin64\\bin\\bash.exe', '-l', 'RunModels.scr'], stdin=vin, stdout=vout, cwd='C:\\path\\dir_where_RunModels\\')

     Depending on how bash is installed (is it in the PATH or not), you might have to use the full path to the bash executable.

     Python 3.5 and above

     subprocess.call() has been effectively replaced by subprocess.run().

     subprocess.run(['C:\\cygwin64\\bin\\bash.exe', '-l', 'RunModels.scr'], stdin=vin, stdout=vout, cwd='C:\\path\\dir_where_RunModels\\')

     Edit:

     With regard to the second question, you might need to add the -l option to the shell invocation to make sure it reads all the restart command files like /etc/profile. I presume these files contain settings for the $PATH in bash.

     Edit 2:

     Add something like pwd to the beginning of RunModels.scr so you can verify that you are really in the right directory. Check that there is no cd command in the rc-files!

     Edit 3:

     The error /usr/bin/bash: RunModels.scr: No such file or directory can also be generated if bash cannot find one of the commands that are called in the script. Try adding the -v option to bash to see if that gives more info.

     Don't put double quotes inside the command substitution.

     Not:

     mydata=$("perl saxon-lint.pl --html --xpath 'string-join(//div[2]/div[2]/div[1]/div[2]/div[2])' $url ")# .......^...........................................................................................^-

     But this:

     mydata=$(perl saxon-lint.pl --html --xpath 'string-join(//div[2]/div[2]/div[1]/div[2]/div[2])' $url )-

     With the double quotes, you're instructing bash to look for a program named "perl saxon-lint.pl --html etc etc" in the path, spaces and all, and clearly no such program exists.

     According the description of your use case it seems to be recommended to transfer the whole logic of the script into Ansible itself. To do so and in respect to the comment regarding add_host

     _module, you could use an approach like

     - name: Create an instance list shell: cmd: oc get nodes --no-headers | cut -d " " -f 1 | tr '\n' "," | rev | cut -c 2- | rev register: instance_list changed_when: false

     To generate the instance_list I've used an OpenShift cluster as example, because I don't have something like oci compute instance list ... accessible.

     - name: Add all hosts from instance_list to the script group add_host: name: '{{ item }}' groups: script loop: "{{ instance_list }}"

     From there you could proceed further to execute your command puppet agent -tv && sleep 10.

     ought to do it. Alternately, leave off the initial redirection on yours, which is redirecting standard input; bash takes a filename to execute just fine without redirection, and <(command) syntax provides a path.

     bash <(curl -s http://mywebsite.example/myscript.txt)

     It may be clearer if you look at the output of echo <(cat /dev/null)

     This is the way to execute remote script with passing to it some arguments (arg1 arg2):

     curl -s http://server/path/script.sh | bash /dev/stdin arg1 arg2

     For bash, Bourne shell and fish:

     curl -s http://server/path/script.sh | bash -s arg1 arg2

     Flag "-s" makes shell read from stdin.
