- The orb moved into the previous hall with the creek. Shoot it with a gun and it'll move back to the spiked room. Run there and shoot the orb a second time, and when it settles again shoot it a third time to drop the spikes. Move into the room and follow the trail up a wooden walkway. You can shoot another orb here, causing it to move behind you.

Knothole Island - Part One
Talk to Gordon on the docks of Bowerstone Market. He'll deliver his spiel and give you One Buried Calorie Potion, Solar Shielding Spectacles, a copy of Knothole Island, Vol 1, plus a pair of Assassin Gloves and Knothole Knight Boots.
Gordon will then ask if you want to go with him to Knothole island. Now here is the key to completing this quest: you must purchase the Knothole Island Premium downloadable content (or being playing the Platinum Hits retail edition). Even if you've already purchased it, you may still need to download it again in order for Gordon to let you onto the island. Why? We don't know. We're guessing Gordon is a bit sloppy a programmer, I mean, a bit sloppy a submariner.
Follow the glowing trail into town. Inside one of the first buildings, you'll find the Chieftan of Knothole Island who explains his peoples' plight and suggests looking for the Ice Key buried near a chilled lake.
The glowing trail will lead you out of the Chieftan's hut and up the hill where you can expect to run into shadow hobbes and beetles. Eventually you'll reach a small lake with a dig spot that your dog will locate for you. Dig up the Ice Key.
