Sep 19, 2010 · As for the charging system fault: Check the battery connections for clean and tight and properly torqued battery terminal connections. Also check the terminals on the starter solenoid for proper tightness.
Jun 12, 2014 · After lunch it went to 12's and then to low 11's and flashed me with "service charging system". I took it to autozone to be sure the battery wasn't bad. It passed again, and the guy said the new alternator is running at 50 percent and it is faulty.
Feb 10, 2010 · Next, disconnect the 10 guage single red charge wire (with the battery disconnected). make sure it is secure, tie it to something so it won't short out. then reconnect the battery and see if you have 12 volts on the red wire.
