Color History. Since 1936, a total of 56 colors were introduced into the line. Each year, the company continues its tradition of introducing a new color to the dinnerware collection.
Please note that turquoise, yellow, cobalt blue, and rose Fiestaware pieces have been produced again since 1986, so look at the markings on the bottom to determine if your Fiesta is the original vintage run of those colors from the 1930s-1970s, or if it’s a modern post-1986 production.
Yellow Fiestaware – 1936-1969. It”s interesting to note that, between 1944 and 1959, red Fiestaware was not in production. This is because during World War II, the U.S. government banned all use of uranium oxide, the substance that gives Pre-1944 Fiestaware it”s red color.
