Son of famed writer Harriet Beecher Stowe. Enlisted in 1st Massachusetts 23 May 1861 Andover, Mass. Saw action at First Mannassas and wounded at Gettysburg which ended his service. Disappeared soon after arriving in San Francisco, California.
