Feb 28, 2024 · Did you know that campus park was purchased and assembled in 1982 as part of the French Field Renovation? It was! Today, the park is a mostly wooded natural area crisscrossed with steep walking paths throughout the natural area and parking at the end of S 252nd street.
Situated adjacent to Kent-Meridian High School, French Field was inaugurated in 1982, making it 41 years old. The running track within the stadium is open to the general public on a daily basis, offering opportunities for recreational use.
Last year's team drew players from throughout South King County, but this year the Sharks are zeroing in on Kent for a better community identity. Plus, that leaves the door open for other Seattle-area communities to field teams.
