I highly doubt Gabe himself reads what's sent to gaben@valvesoftware.com - all their other internal email addresses follow the opposite format, gnewell@valvesoftware.com for example. So because this email might get missed, and I know at least some Valve people do visit this place from time to time, I'm posting a copy of the email I sent here.
