It is named after the 150-acre (60-hectare) estate owned by Sir Robert Gordon in the 17th century; the school now uses this estate as its campus. It is located in Duffus to the north-west of Elgin. Gordonstoun is one of the leading full boarding schools in the UK. Our buildings are set within a safe and beautiful 200 acre wooded campus, within walking distance of the expansive beaches of the Moray Firth, and within easy reach of the stunning Scottish Highlands. It is this location which lets us deliver our uniquely broad curriculum of indoor and outdoor learning.
